How can we utilize design to have a positive user experience? What elements of design trigger positive or negative emotions? How do humans perceive design from unique perspectives? Explore my portfolio as I explore how we can use design for the to enhance and improve our society.

More About Me!
I'm Mikayla, a Human Development major at Cornell University with a focus on how people perceive and emotionally respond to the designed world around them.
My journey into design started with a love for painting and visual arts, which gave me a strong sense of color, composition, and emotional storytelling.
Over time, that creative instinct evolved into a deeper curiosity about user-centered design and human behavior.

Now, I use both my artistic background and research-driven mindset to approach design as a tool for empathy, communication, and impact.
Whether I’m sketching wireframes, refining UI flows, or creating visual systems, I always think about how design makes people feel—and how it shapes their choices, moods, and experiences.
I’ve worked on a range of projects, from visual branding to UX platforms, and I’m always looking to expand my toolkit. I believe the best design is not just functional or beautiful—but meaningful.
When I'm not designing, you’ll probably find me exploring color palettes, painting, or studying how people navigate digital and physical spaces.
